Bleu Cheese Appetizer Tarts Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 (3 oz) package cream cheese, softened .
  • 1 dash salt .
  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour .
  • 1 c all-purpose flour .
  • 1/2 c butter or margarine, softened .
  • Filling .
  • 1 c blue cheese, crumbled .
  • 1 egg, beaten .
  • Tart Shells .
  • 1 (5 oz) can evaporated milk .
  • 1/4 c sliced walnuts .
  • 2 drops hot sauce

Directions
  • Step #1 For the tarts:.
  • Step #2 Combine cream cheese & butter, mixing well.
  • Step #3 Stir in flou; chill in the fridge.
  • Step #4 Shape dough into 24 (1-inch) balls.
  • Step #5 Place each ball into individual wells of ungreased 1 3/4-inch muffin pans, pressing dough onto bottom of sides to form shells.
  • Step #6 Set aside.
  • Step #7 Preheat oven to 425F degrees F.
  • Step #8 For the Filling:.
  • Step #9 Combine bleu cheese & flour; spoon evenly into tart shells.
  • Step #10 Combine egg, salt, milk, & hot sauce; spoon evenly over bleu cheese mixture in tart shells.
  • Step #11 Sprinkle top with walnuts.
  • Step #12 Bake at 425F F for 7 mins.
  • Step #13 Reduce oven temperature to 300F degrees F, & bake an extra 17 mins or until set.
