Ingredients
  • 4 poached eggs .
  • 2 tbsps oil .
  • 1 c cooked shredded cabbage .
  • 2-3 c leftover mashed potatoes .
  • 1/2 c sliced onions .
  • 1 tbsp butter or margarine

Directions
  • Step #1 Heat oil & butter in a cast iron frying pan over med-heat/flame.
  • Step #2 Saute onions until they start to turn transparent.
  • Step #3 Stir in mashed potatoes & cabbage.
  • Step #4 (The sound they make when they cook gives the name to the dish).
  • Step #5 Stir every once in awhile until potatoes are heated through.
  • Step #6 Pat everything down in the pan & turn down the heat to low.
  • Step #7 Cook without stirring until the bottom is brown.
  • Step #8 Cut into four pieces & put on plates.
  • Step #9 Make a well in the top of each piece & place a poached egg in each.
  • Step #10 Enjoy.
