Step #1 Place the herbs in a small dish & pour in the olive oil.
Step #2 Allow to steep for at least 15 mins, & the longer, the better.
Step #3 Place all remaining ingredients except cornmeal in your bread machine following sequence recommended by manufacturer.
Step #4 Start the dough cycle.
Step #5 As the dough mixes, drizzle on the olive oil until incorporated.
Step #6 The dough should form a smooth ball: add small amounts of flour or water (or extra olive oil) until the dough looks right - the exact proportions depend on many factors.
Step #7 Allow to rise in bread machine.
Step #8 Remove from machine, punch down.
Step #9 If making a loaf, form into an oval loaf & place on cornmeal-dusted baking sheet.
Step #10 Cover up & allow to rise until doubled.
Step #11 (If making rolls, depending on the size you want, cut into 8 to 12 pieces, & shape as desired.
Step #12 Place on cornmeal-dusted baking sheet, cover, & allow to rise until doubled).
Step #13 Preheat oven to 375 deg.
Step #14 F.
Step #15 Place in oven & bake for app.
Step #16 40 mins or until bread tests done.
Step #17 (Rolls will bake 20 to 30 mins, depending on size - keep an eye on them).
Step #18 You know you should let a loaf cool before cutting into it; but when you make rolls, one can always be sacrificed to the cause!
Note: I imagine you could bake this in the bread machine, although I've never done so.
Step #19 I'd do it on a basic white setting with medium crust.
