Pickled Pigs Feet Recipe

Ingredients
  • white wine or cider vinegar .
  • 2 onions .
  • 2 tsps parsley flakes .
  • 6 pig's feet (split) .
  • 2 onions .
  • 2 garlic cloves .
  • 1 tbsp salt .
  • 2 carrots .
  • 1 tsp thyme (dried) .
  • 2 quarts water .
  • 12 whole black peppercorns (crushed) .
  • 1 bay leaf (whole)

Directions
  • Step #1 In a large stock pot or other large pot,put first 8 ingredients in the pot.
  • Step #2 Cut onion into pieces.
  • Step #3 Also cut carrot into pieces.
  • Step #4 Bring to a boil & then simmer 15 to 20 mins.
  • Step #5 Add the pigs feet to the seasoned water.
  • Step #6 Simmer pigs feet for 3-4 hrs.
  • Step #7 When time is up remove pigs feet & let cool enough to touch.
  • Step #8 When cool put them in a bowl or canning jars.
  • Step #9 with 2 sliced onion & 2 cloves sliced garlic divided between them(Garlic can be omitted if you dont like it) & any seasoning you want to add.
  • Step #10 Heat white wine or cider vinegar & pour over pigs feet so they are covered completely.
  • Step #11 Refrigerate for 3-5 days before eating.
  • Step #12 Keep any left overs refigerated.
