Swiss Broccoli Bake Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/4 tsp white pepper .
  • 2 eggs, beaten .
  • 2/3 c sliced onions .
  • 8-9 c fresh broccoli florets .
  • 4 c swiss cheese, shredded .
  • 1 1/4 c heavy cream (or light cream) .
  • 2 tbsps flour .
  • 1/4 c butter

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 325.
  • Step #2 Lightly spray a 2 quart baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Step #3 In a saucepan, cook/steam broccoli until crisp-tender; drain & set aside.
  • Step #4 In another saucepan, melt butter; add flour.
  • Step #5 Cook & stir until thickened & bubbly.
  • Step #6 Stir in onion.
  • Step #7 Gradually add cream; bring to a boil & cook for 1 min.
  • Step #8 Remove from the heat; stir in the cheese, eggs, pepper & the cooked broccoli.
  • Step #9 Stir to mix.
  • Step #10 Pour into the prepared baking dish.
  • Step #11 Bake, uncovered, at 325F for 30 mins.
