Mrs Ortiz Spaghetti Sauce Recipe

Ingredients

3 anchovy fillets .
salt & pepper .
1 (6 oz) can tomato paste .
3 tbsps fresh parsley, sliced (italian is best) .
1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce .
3 (15 oz) cans sliced tomatoes, do not drain .
1 tbsp dried basil .
1 tbsp dried oregano .
olive oil, to saute .
4 garlic cloves, pressed .
1/4 c parmesan cheese .
red pepper flakes, if desired when you saute the garlic .
2 (4 oz) cans mushrooms, drained well

Directions

Step #1 In a large-ish skillet add olive oil heat on medium.
Step #2 add sliced parsley, pressed garlic & anchovies saute briefly till garlic is soft not brown add red pepper flakes if desired.
Step #3 add all 3 cans of sliced tomatoes do not drain ! add can of tomato sauce heat all the way through.
Step #4 add can of tomato paste stir until mixd.
Step #5 add all the dried herbs.
Step #6 & both cans of mushrooms drained well.
Step #7 allow sauce to simmer as long as you wish.
Step #8 right before serving add the cheese to the sauce.
Step #9 enjoy.
