My Own Chili Recipe

Ingredients
  • 3 tbsps chili powder (to taste) .
  • 1 onion, sliced .
  • 1 green pepper, sliced .
  • 1 (28 oz) can sliced tomatoes .
  • 1 (14 oz) can kidney beans .
  • salt & pepper .
  • 1 lb ground beef .
  • 2 stalks celery, sliced .
  • 1 (10 oz) can sliced mushrooms .
  • 1 (14 oz) can pork & beans

Directions
  • Step #1 brown ground beef, drain fat, add sliced onion, celery & green pepper cook this until soft.
  • Step #2 add sliced tomatoes, kidney beans, mushrooms, pork&beans bring to a boil.
  • Step #3 Then add chili powder depending on how hot you like it, I usually add enough so that you notice the change in colour.
  • Step #4 add salt & pepper to taste.
  • Step #5 Let simmer for 1 hr until the beans are tender.
  • Step #6 serve this with grated cheddar on top & garlic bread.
