Crescent Cookies Recipe

Ingredients
  • 3 tbsps white sugar
  • 2 tbsps confectioners' sugar
  • 1 c sliced pecans
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 c butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 c sifted all-purpose flour

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 325F degrees F (165 degrees C).
  • Step #2 In a medium bowl, stir this together the flour, baking powder & sliced pecans.
  • Step #3 Stir in the margarine & vanilla until a dough forms.
  • Step #4 Knead by hand for a few turns.
  • Step #5 On a lightly floured surface, roll dough out to 1/4 inch thickness.
  • Step #6 Cut into triangles, & roll from the square end up to the point.
  • Step #7 Bend into a crescent shape, place on an unprepared cookie sheet, & bake for 15 to 18 mins.
  • Step #8 Dust with confectioners' sugar for decoration.
