Classic German Burgers Recipe

Ingredients
  • butter (for frying, use about 1/4 stick at a time) .
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced into rings .
  • 1/2 medium onion, minced .
  • 2 tbsps flour .
  • 1/2 tsp salt .
  • 1/8 tsp ground nutmeg .
  • 3 tbsps minced fresh parsley .
  • 1 egg, beaten .
  • 1/8 tsp pepper .
  • 1 lb lean ground beef

Directions
  • Step #1 Combine all ingredients except butter & onion rings.
  • Step #2 Shape into patties.
  • Step #3 Melt butter in skillet over medium to med-high heat.
  • Step #4 Fry in melted butter until desired doneness, about 10-12 min per burger.
  • Step #5 Remove & keep warm.
  • Step #6 Fry onion rings in pan drippings until golden.
  • Step #7 Place burger on bun, with whatever condiments you like.
