Drop Biscuits And Gravy Recipe

Ingredients
  • GRAVY:
  • 1/2 lb bulk pork sausage
  • 1 3/4 c milk
  • 3 tbsps all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp butter or margarine, melted
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1 c all-purpose flour
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 tsps baking powder
  • 1/2 c milk
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 tbsp butter or margarine

Directions
  • Step #1 In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder & salt.
  • Step #2 Combine milk & butter; stir in theto dry ingredients just until mixed.
  • Step #3 Drop by rounded tbspfuls onto a greased baking sheet.
  • Step #4 Bake at 450 degrees F for 10-12 mins or until golden brown.
  • Step #5 Meanwhile, in a saucepan, cook the sausage over med-heat/flame until no longer pink.
  • Step #6 Stir in butter until melted.
  • Step #7 Sprinkle top with flour.
  • Step #8 Gradually stir in the milk, salt & pepper.
  • Step #9 Bring to a boil; cook & stir for 2 mins.
  • Step #10 Serve over biscuits.
