Pilgrim Fudge Recipe

Ingredients
  • 3 c sugar .
  • 3/4 c butter .
  • 1/2 c canned pumpkin .
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon .
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract .
  • 1 (7 oz) jar marshmallow creme .
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger .
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg .
  • 2/3 c evaporated milk .
  • 2 c chocolate chips

Directions
  • Step #1 Combine the first 7 ingredients in a saucepan; bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
  • Step #2 Lower heat; boil over med-heat/flame until mixture reaches the soft-boil stage (234°-243°) on a candy thermometer.
  • Step #3 Remove pan from heat; stir in the marshmallow creme & vanilla.
  • Step #4 Fold in chips; mix well.
  • Step #5 Spread mixture out in a buttered 13x9 inch pan; cool.
  • Step #6 Cut into squares; store this in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
