Baked Lemon-garlic Chicken With Bel
Ingredients
  • 1/2 c flour .
  • 3-4 tbsps lemon juice .
  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breast halves .
  • 2 tbsps light corn syrup .
  • 1 egg .
  • 1 tsp baking soda .
  • 1/4 tsp salt (optional) .
  • 2 tsps cornstarch .
  • 2 tsps cold water .
  • 2 tbsps white wine vinegar .
  • 1 garlic clove, finely sliced .
  • 1/4 c sugar .
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper .
  • 1 tsp grated lemon peel .
  • 1 tsp water .
  • 1/3 c chicken broth

Directions
  • Step #1 Mix egg & the 1 tsps water.
  • Step #2 Add chicken & turn to coat.
  • Step #3 Heat oven to 425F degrees.
  • Step #4 Spray a baking sheet that has a lip with Pam.
  • Step #5 In plastic bag mix flour, baking soda & cayenne.
  • Step #6 Remove chicken from egg & shake in flour bag one at a time & put on baking sheet.
  • Step #7 Spray chicken with cooking spray to moisten.
  • Step #8 Bake uncovered 20 to 25 mins until done.
  • Step #9 While baking, make the sauce.
  • Step #10 In small saucepan mix the sugar, chicken broth, salt, corn syrup, lemon juice, vinegar, lemon peel, & garlic.
  • Step #11 Bring to boil.
  • Step #12 In small bowl, mix cornstarch & the 2 tsps water.
  • Step #13 Add to sauce & stir this to thicken.
  • Step #14 Serve with chicken.
