Layered Nacho Guacamole Appetizer Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 c pimento stuffed olives (or to taste) .
  • 1 lb lean ground beef .
  • 1 1/2 c taco sauce (or to taste) .
  • 4 c grated cheddar cheese (divided & to taste) .
  • 1-2 tbsp fresh minced garlic (optional) .
  • guacamole .
  • 1 1/2 c sour cream .
  • 1 (30 oz) can refried beans .
  • 2 large firm tomatoes, coarsley sliced .
  • 1 onion, sliced .
  • 2 (4 oz) cans green chilies, drained & sliced

Directions
  • Step #1 In a frypan, brown the beef with onion & garlic; drain fat.
  • Step #2 Set oven to 400F degrees.
  • Step #3 In a 13 x 9-inch baking dish (or similar size) spread the cooked ground beef in the bottom of the dish.
  • Step #4 Top/layer with refried beans, then chilies, 2 c cheddar cheese & then taco sauce.
  • Step #5 Bake for about 20 mins.
  • Step #6 Prepare a double guacamole recipe#71842 (or use your favorite).
  • Step #7 Add in garlic salt, & mix to mix.
  • Step #8 Remove the ground beef mixture from oven; cool 5-6 mins.
  • Step #9 Top with the prepared guacamole, then sour cream, sliced tomatoes, olives & then remaining 2 c cheddar cheese (or to taste).
  • Step #10 Serve with tortilla chips.
