Beef Wellington Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 sheet pepperidge farm puff pastry .
  • 4 beef tenderloin steaks ((1/2 inch thick) .
  • 1 tbsp milk .
  • 4 oz foie gras pate .
  • salt & pepper .
  • 2 eggs .
  • egg wash

Directions
  • Step #1 Make egg wash by mixing ingredients well.
  • Step #2 Sear filets & season as you like (do not cook well just sear them).
  • Step #3 Place 1 oz pate' on each side of filet & roll up in puff pastry, take care to seal dough well with egg wash.
  • Step #4 Use the left over dough to garnish your Wellingtons & brush with egg wash to seal the dough together.
  • Step #5 Bake at 325F for 15 to 30 mins depending on how you prefer your steak.
  • Step #6 Serve with bordelaise or any other red wine sauce of your liking.
