Swedish Meatballs Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 lbs ground beef .
  • 2 (10 1/2 oz) cans cream of mushroom soup .
  • 1/3 c plain breadcrumbs .
  • 2 tsps worcestershire sauce .
  • pepper .
  • salt .
  • 1 large egg .
  • 1 medium onion, sliced .
  • 10 1/2 oz water

Directions
  • Step #1 Mix by hand all ingredients except soup & water; form into balls.
  • Step #2 Brown meatballs in large pan on medium heat.
  • Step #3 (I usually turn them two to three times & keep them covered while they are cooking, so the insides get cooked a little.
  • Step #4 ) Put meatballs on a paper towel to drain excess grease.
  • Step #5 Put the soup & 1 full can (10.
  • Step #6 5 oz.
  • Step #7 ) of water In a large-ish pot or crock pot & stir down large lumps.
  • Step #8 Add meatballs to soup.
  • Step #9 Simmer for at least 45 mins on the stove or cook on low for 6-8 hrs in the crock pot.
  • Step #10 Serve over egg noodles or rice.
