Ukrainian Honey Cake Recipe

Ingredients
  • 4 eggs, beaten .
  • 1 c honey, warmed in a pot over hot water .
  • 1 tsp baking powder .
  • 1 1/2 c flour

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 375 F, & butter & flour a 7" cake pan.
  • Step #2 Beat honey until frothy.
  • Step #3 Add eggs, flour & baking powder.
  • Step #4 Pour into prepared cake pan.
  • Step #5 Bake for 15 mins & check the cake.
  • Step #6 When done, it will shrink slightly from the pan.
  • Step #7 Continue baking for 5 mins if it isn't ready yet.
  • Step #8 (continue if it needs more time).
  • Step #9 Turn it out of the pan while still hot, & let cool on a rack.
  • Step #10 Store in an airtight container for a day before serving.
