Cabbage Galette Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 bunch flat leaf parsley, finely sliced .
  • 2 eggs .
  • 200 g flour .
  • 1/2 savoy cabbage, roughly sliced .
  • 2 tbsps olive oil .
  • fresh ground black pepper .
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced .
  • 3 shallots, finely sliced .
  • 250 ml milk .
  • 200 g thick cut smoked bacon, cubed .
  • sea salt

Directions
  • Step #1 Heat the oven to 180*C/375*F.
  • Step #2 Steam the cabbage for 3 mins.
  • Step #3 Smear a pie dish with olive oil & heat in the oven.
  • Step #4 In a bowl, garlic, mix together the bacon, shallots, eggs, parsley & seasoning.
  • Step #5 Add the flour & milk & mix into a smooth dough.
  • Step #6 Remove the hot pie dish from the oven.
  • Step #7 Spread half the dough over the base of the dish, pile on the cabbage & pack it down with your hands.
  • Step #8 Cover up with the remaining dough.
  • Step #9 Bake for 35 mins, until golden & firm.
