Chicken With Tomato Cream Sauce Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2/3 c low-fat parmesan cheese .
  • 8 boneless skinless chicken breast halves .
  • 1 (14 1/2 oz) can sliced tomatoes, undrained .
  • 1/4 c butter or margarine .
  • 1 tsp salt .
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced .
  • 2 tbsps flour .
  • 1 c light sour cream .
  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced .
  • 16 oz hot cooked linguine or pasta, of your choice

Directions
  • Step #1 In large skillet, brown chicken in butter on both sides.
  • Step #2 Remove & set aside.
  • Step #3 Add onion & garlic; saute until tender.
  • Step #4 Stir in flour & salt until mixed.
  • Step #5 Gradually add tomatoes, stirring until mixed.
  • Step #6 Bring to a boil.
  • Step #7 Reduce heat; return chicken to pan.
  • Step #8 Cover up & let simmer for 30 mins.
  • Step #9 Remove chicken & keep warm.
  • Step #10 Reduce heat to low; stir in the sour cream & Parmesan cheese.
  • Step #11 Heat through.
  • Step #12 Serve chicken & sauce over hot cooked noodles.
