3 lbs chicken breasts, thighs, quarters, drumsticks, bone in (your family's favorite) .
3/4 c light brown sugar .
2 tsps worcestershire sauce .
2 tbsps honey .
1 green onion, sliced .
1/2 c ruby port or marsala .
2 tbsps fresh ground pepper .
1/2 c pure olive oil .
1/4 c strong brewed coffee .
2 tsps Tabasco sauce .
2 c yellow mustard .
2 tbsps Dijon mustard .
Sweet Mustard Barbecue Sauce .
1 shallot, minced .
2 tbsps soy sauce or low sodium soy sauce .
3/4 c unsulphured molasses .
1 tbsp worcestershire sauce .
1 tbsp liquid smoke (optional) .
1 tbsp unsulphured molasses
Directions
Step #1 In a medium saucepan, mix all of the sauce ingredients & bring to a simmer.
Step #2 Stir well & remove this from heat.
Step #3 Let cool to about room temp, then pour this into a glass jar with lid & put in the fridge.
Step #4 In a large bowl or extra large ziplock, add the first 9 ingredients & mix well.
Step #5 Let sit at about room temp for 30 mins.
Step #6 Then, add the chicken pieces & turn to coat.
Step #7 Refrigerate overnight.
Step #8 Light your grill or preheat broiler.
Step #9 Remove the chicken from the marinade & arrange the pieces on a baking sheet/s.
Step #10 Brush the chicken pieces with the Barbecue Sauce & grill over a medium-hot fire or broil 12 inches from the heat, turning often & rotating, until cooked through & nicely glazed, 8 to 10 mins per side.
Step #11 Serve hot or at about room temp.
