Meet Mersang (chili Paste) Recipe

Ingredients

1 tsp garlic paste .
4 tbsps chili powder (bafat powder) .
1 1/2 tsps turmeric powder .
1 tbsp salt .
1 tsp ginger paste .
3-4 tbsps white vinegar, to make a paste of the ingredients (if the vinegar is very strong you can add part water)

Directions

Step #1 First mix all dry ingredients.
Step #2 Add the pastes & stir a bit.
Step #3 THen add vinegar a tbsp at a time until a smooth but thick paste forms (see photo to get an idea).
Step #4 Store in airtight container in refrigerator & it will last for a long time.
Step #5 You can marinate fish in this (use a small amount & rub into the fish, marinate a few hrs in the fridge & cook as desired).
