Crawfish Fettuccine Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 c grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tsps Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 6 tbsps butter
  • 1 lb peeled crawfish tails
  • 2 tsps cayenne pepper
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 3 stalks celery, sliced
  • 1 lb dry fettuccine pasta
  • 1 c half-and-half cream
  • 1 (8 oz) package processed cheese food
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 large onion, sliced

Directions
  • Step #1 Melt the butter in a large skillet over med-heat/flame.
  • Step #2 Cook onion, celery, bell pepper, & garlic in butter until onions are tender.
  • Step #3 Stir in flour, & cook for 5 to 10 mins, stirring frequently.
  • Step #4 Stir in crawfish.
  • Step #5 Cover, & let simmer for 15 to 20 mins, stirring often.
  • Step #6 Stir in the processed cheese, Cajun seasonings, half-and-half, & cayenne pepper.
  • Step #7 Cover, & let simmer for about 20 mins, stirring every once in awhile.
  • Step #8 Meanwhile, bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil.
  • Step #9 Cook pasta in boiling water for 8 to 10 mins, or until al dente; drain.
  • Step #10 Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Step #11 Butter a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Step #12 Stir noodles into crawfish mixture; pour this into prepared dish, & sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
  • Step #13 Bake in a preheated oven for 20 mins, or until hot & bubbly.
