Greek Layer Dip Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 (19 oz) can chickpeas, drained & rinced .
  • 2/3 c plain yogurt .
  • 5 kalamata olives, pits removed & sliced .
  • 2 garlic cloves, peeled .
  • 1 tsp oregano .
  • 1 tomato, sliced .
  • 1/4 c feta cheese, crumbled .
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper .
  • 1/2 green pepper, sliced

Directions
  • Step #1 Place the yogurt, chickpeas & garlic in the bowl of a food processor/blender or mixer & process until completely smooth & creamy.
  • Step #2 Spread the mixture In a large-ish flat circle on a dinner plate or serving dish.
  • Step #3 Sprinkle top the tomatoes & green pepper evenly over the top of the mixture.
  • Step #4 Sprinkle top with black pepper & oregano & top this with the feta cheese & olives.
  • Step #5 Refrigerate for 30 mins to allow the flavors to mingle.
  • Step #6 Serve with plenty of tortilla chips, toasted pita triangles or crackers.
