2 tbsps coffee liqueur (or brewed strong black coffee) .
1/2 c maple syrup .
1/3 c butter .
Filling .
Crust .
2 tbsps butter .
1 c white flour
Directions
Step #1 Preheat oven to 400F F.
Step #2 For the crust, cut the butter into the flour with a pastry knife until the mixture resembles coarse cornmeal.
Step #3 Add about 3 Tbsp water & mix until dough forms a ball.
Step #4 Roll it out on lightly floured board.
Step #5 Place crust in 9-inch pie plate & crimp the edges.
Step #6 To make filling, except the pecans, place all of the filling ingredients, into a mixer or food processor/blender & puree until the chocolate chips are completely ground up & everything is smooth.
Step #7 Pour the filling over the pecans in a bowl, & stir just enough to coat the nuts.
Step #8 Pour the filling into the pie shell.
Step #9 Bake at 400F F for 10 mins, then reduce heat to 350 F & bake another 30 mins or until the filling is set but still moist.
