Maple Planked Salmon With Spice Rub Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 tsps kosher salt .
  • 1/2 tsp cumin .
  • 2 tsps maple syrup .
  • 1 tsp chili powder .
  • 1 tsp dried ancho chile powder .
  • 2 tsps paprika .
  • 24 oz salmon fillets .
  • 1/2 tsp brown sugar

Directions
  • Step #1 Combine first five ingredients in a small bowl.
  • Step #2 Sprinkle top fish with salt & rub with the spice mixture.
  • Step #3 Heat grill to 350 to 400F degrees.
  • Step #4 Place soaked plank on hot grill & close lid.
  • Step #5 Flip plank over after 3 mins & continue to heat for 3 more.
  • Step #6 When light smoke develops place salmon fillets on hot plank, close lid, & cook for 10-15 mins or until medium rare (or desired doneness).
  • Step #7 Drizzle fish with maple syrup & serve.
  • Step #8 Remember salmon will continue to cook after removing the plank from the grill.
