Amusement Park Cornbread Cornbread Casserole Cornbread Dressing Cajun Cornbread Cornbread Pudding Sausage Cornbread Award Winning Cornbread Jalapeno Bacon Cheddar Cornbread Kwanza Cornbread Rosemarys Cornbread Green Chilli Cornbread All American Cornbread Sweet Homemade Cornbread Big Mamaws Cornbread Ole Miss Black-eyed Pea And Sausage- 1 tbsp pan drippings .
- 2 tbsps butter .
- 1 c buttermilk .
- 2 eggs .
- 4-6 tbsps mayonnaise (JFG brand) .
- sugar .
- 1/2-3/4 c flour .
- 1 1/2 c cornmeal .
- salt
Directions
- Step #1 Mix all ingredients together.
- Step #2 Put the tbs of grease in cast iron skillet to make the cornbread crusty, then pour in all ingredients.
- Step #3 (*Make sure the batter is not thin & runny, if so, add equal consistencies of flour & cornmeal to thicken*).
- Step #4 I sometimes add a little bit of salt, & a tbs of sugar, but this is optional.
- Step #5 Bake on 400-425 degrees for 25-30 mins.
