Walnut Brussels Sprouts Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/4 tsp pepper .
  • 1/2 c thinly sliced red onions .
  • 1 garlic clove, minced .
  • 1 tbsp olive oil .
  • 1/2 tsp dried marjoram .
  • 1/2 tsp salt .
  • 1/2 lb Brussels sprouts, halved .
  • 1/3 c white wine .
  • 1/4 c walnut pieces

Directions
  • Step #1 Steam Brussels sprouts until almost tender, about 8 mins.
  • Step #2 Set them aside.
  • Step #3 Meanwhile, shaking skillet every once in awhile, until lightly toasted, cook the walnuts, in a nonstick skillet over high heat, about 1-2 mins.
  • Step #4 Remove from skillet & set aside.
  • Step #5 In same skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat.
  • Step #6 Add onion, garlic, salt, marjoram & pepper.
  • Step #7 Cook until onion just softens, 2 mins.
  • Step #8 Add reserved sprouts; cook, stirring every once in awhile, 6 mins.
  • Step #9 Add wine; reduce heat to medium.
  • Step #10 Cover up; cook, stirring every once in awhile, until sprouts are tender, about 8 mins.
  • Step #11 Transfer to serving bowl; toss with reserved walnuts.
