Pink Pig Cherry Cake Recipe

Ingredients
  • 175 g margarine .
  • plain flour, to cover cherry .
  • 175 g glace cherries, sliced .
  • 175 g caster sugar .
  • 115 g self raising flour, sieved .
  • 3 medium eggs .
  • 75 g plain flour, sieved .
  • 50 g ground almonds

Directions
  • Step #1 Place flour, margarine, sugar & eggs into a bowl & beat together with a wooden spoon until glossy (about 1 - 2 mins), almonds, toss cherries in a little plain flour & add to mixture.
  • Step #2 Mix inches.
  • Step #3 Turn mixture into a 17.
  • Step #4 8 cm (7")greased & lined deep round cake tin.
  • Step #5 Bake in a pre-heated oven 160C/325F/Gas Mark 3 for 1 - 1/1/4 hrs until top is springy to touch.
  • Step #6 Remove from tin, place on a wire rack & leave it to cool completely.
