Oriental Beef Noodles Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 c shredded cabbage .
  • 1 tsp sesame oil, divided .
  • 1 1/2 c water .
  • 1 garlic clove, minced .
  • 2 (2 7/8 oz) packages beef-flavor ramen noodles .
  • 8 oz rib eye steaks, fat removed .
  • 1 c shredded carrots .
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce .
  • 1 c sliced green onions, cut into 1-inch pieces

Directions
  • Step #1 Trim fat from steak, cut steak diagonally across grain into thin slices.
  • Step #2 Heat ½ tsp of oil In a large-ish nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Step #3 Add steak, green onions & garlic; stir-fry for one min.
  • Step #4 Remove steak from skillet; keep warm.
  • Step #5 Remove noodles from packages; reserve one seasoning packet for another use.
  • Step #6 Add water & remaining seasoning packet to skillet; bring to a boil.
  • Step #7 Break noodles in half; add noodles to water mixture.
  • Step #8 Cook noodles for two mins or until most of liquid is absorbed, stirring frequently.
  • Step #9 Stir in steak mixture, vegetables & soy sauce; cook this until thoroughly heated.
  • Step #10 To make this dish more quickly you can buy the slaw mix with shredded cabbage & carrot already made.
  • Step #11 Just use 2 c of the slaw mix in place of the 1 c of the shredded cabbage & 1 c of shredded carrots.
