My Blonde Brownies Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 c margarine (do not use 48% vegetable oil mix) .
  • 1 c sliced pecans (optional) .
  • 4 large eggs .
  • 2 c self-rising flour .
  • 1 (12 oz) package butterscotch chips .
  • 1 tsp vanilla .
  • 2 c brown sugar

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 325°F.
  • Step #2 Combine chips & margarine; melt over low stir until well mixed.
  • Step #3 Cool slightly.
  • Step #4 In bowl beat eggs with wire whisk until light yellow in color & foamy.
  • Step #5 (PLEASE DO NOT USE MIXER).
  • Step #6 Beat in sugar, vanilla, & chip mixture.
  • Step #7 Add flour & pecans if using; mix well.
  • Step #8 Pour into greased 13x9-inch pan.
  • Step #9 Bake for 45 mins or until brownies are pulled away from edges of pan & set in center.
  • Step #10 Cool completely before cutting into squares.
