Feta And Ricotta Cheese Fondue Recipe

Ingredients
  • 3 tbsps butter or margarine .
  • 1 tbsp parsley, minced (optional) .
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper .
  • 1 c ricotta cheese .
  • 1 lemon, juice of, only .
  • 4 oz feta cheese, cut into 1/2-inch cubes

Directions
  • Step #1 Melt the butter in a heavy 8-inch skillet or a 1 quart saucepan over low-heat.
  • Step #2 Add the feta & ricotta cheese, & pepper.
  • Step #3 Cook, & mashing the cheeses slightly, stirring constantly, until they soften & begin to bubble - about 5 mins.
  • Step #4 Stir in lemon juice, & garnish with the parsley if desired.
  • Step #5 Serve at once.
  • Step #6 As the fondue cools, it loses flavor.
  • Step #7 Or put into crock pot or fondue pot to keep it warm if you can't serve it right away.
  • Step #8 Variations: Substitute fontina cheese for the feta cheese or you can substitute cottage cheese for the ricotta.
