1 (16 oz) bag frozen broccoli, sliced into bite-sized pieces (thawing not necessary) .
1/4 c flour .
2 c milk (or 3 c. milk, no half & half) .
1/4 lb processed cheese, cut into smaller cubes (I use Walmart brand Velveeta) .
1/4 c butter or margarine
Directions
Step #1 In a large stockpot, melt the butter.
Step #2 When melted, stir in the the flour & cook for 2 mins.
Step #3 Add the broth, milk & cream, & salt.
Step #4 Bring to a boil & reduce heat.
Step #5 Simmer for 10 mins.
Step #6 Stir in the cheese & broccoli.
Step #7 Simmer for 10 mins.
Step #8 Serve.
Step #9 Note: If this is not thick enough for you, make some thickening from cornstarch & water; increase heat to just under boiling & stir in the rapidly to prevent lumps.
