Ginger Garlic Five Spice Chicken Recipe

Ingredients
  • 3/4 c honey .
  • 6 inches piece fresh ginger, coarsely sliced (about 1 c) .
  • 1/4 tsp five-spice powder .
  • 3/4 c low sodium soy sauce .
  • 6 lbs chicken parts .
  • 12 medium scallions, coarsely sliced .
  • 12 garlic cloves, minced

Directions
  • Step #1 Combine scallions, ginger, garlic & 6 tbsps of the soy sauce in a food processor/blender & process for 2 mins.
  • Step #2 Add remaining 6 tbsps soy sauce, honey, five-spice powder & pepper to taste & process until well mixed.
  • Step #3 Combine chickens & honey mixture In a large-ish bowl & toss to coat.
  • Step #4 Place chicken, skin side down, In a large-ish baking dish.
  • Step #5 Drizzle honey mixture over chicken.
  • Step #6 Bake at 350 degrees for 45 mins.
  • Step #7 Turn chicken, baste with sauce & bake for 45 mins longer, or until chicken is cooked through.
