Japanese Sesame Sauce Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/4 c Japanese soy sauce .
  • 1 tbsp sliced white onions or 1/2 tsp onion powder .
  • 2 tbsps water .
  • 1 tbsp vinegar (or lemon juice) .
  • 3 oz toasted sesame seeds .
  • 1/4 c light olive oil .
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed .
  • 1 1/2 tsps togarashi pepper (see note) .
  • 1 cooked egg yolk (optional)

Directions
  • Step #1 Place all ingredients in a small mixer.
  • Step #2 Blend till smooth.
  • Step #3 Note: Togarashi is a Japanese seasoning made of crushed red pepper & other condiments, mixed into a powder.
  • Step #4 Red or black pepper may be substituted.
