Cran Apple Sauerkraut Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 tsps canola oil
  • 1/2 c sliced, peeled tart apple
  • 1/4 c dried cranberries
  • 8 oz sauerkraut, rinsed & squeezed dry
  • 2 tbsps sliced onion
  • 1/4 c chicken broth, divided

Directions
  • Step #1 In a large nonstick skillet, saute the sauerkraut & onion in oil for 3-4 mins or until sauerkraut is lightly browned.
  • Step #2 Stir in the apple, cranberries & 2 tbsps broth.
  • Step #3 Cover & cook over low heat/flame for 4-5 mins, stirring every once in awhile.
  • Step #4 Stir in the remaining broth; cover & cook 3-4 mins longer or until heated through, stirring every once in awhile.
