Turnip/carrot Mash Recipe

Ingredients
  • salt .
  • 2 lbs turnips or rutabagas .
  • 2 lbs carrots .
  • butter .
  • pepper .
  • cream or milk

Directions
  • Step #1 Boil carrots & turnip/rutabaga SEPARATELY.
  • Step #2 When done, mash each SEPARATELY using as much cream, butter, & seasonings to your taste.
  • Step #3 Just before serving, drain any liquid formed at the bottom of the bowls & GENTLY mix them both.
  • Step #4 You should be able to see both carrot & turnip/rutabaga pieces in the mixd dish.
  • Step #5 ENJOY! NB: Depending on your preferences, the amts of carrot vs turnip can be regulated.
  • Step #6 Leftovers freeze well.
