Step #1 Cream butter, add sugar, then beaten egg yolks.
Step #2 Sprinkle top some of the flour over the fruit & pecans.
Step #3 Add spices & salt to remaining flour.
Step #4 Combine butter, fruit & flour mixtures.
Step #5 Add vanilla extract & baking soda.
Step #6 Beat egg whites until stiff & fold inches Drop scant tspsful on greased cookie sheet & bake this at 350 F for 10 - 15 mins.
Step #7 Batter may be prepared several weeks ahead.
Step #8 Freezes well before & after baking.
