Tuscan Style Grilled Tuna Recipe

Ingredients
  • 4 (8 oz) fresh tuna steaks, 1-inch thick .
  • 1 lemon, zest of .
  • flat leaf parsley .
  • 3 garlic cloves, crushed .
  • coarse salt .
  • 3 sprigs fresh rosemary, about 2 tbsps leaves stripped from stem .
  • extra-virgin olive oil, for cooking .
  • black pepper or grill seasoning

Directions
  • Step #1 Rinse & pat tuna steaks dry.
  • Step #2 Place zest on top of cutting board.
  • Step #3 Pile rosemary & parsley leaves on top of zest.
  • Step #4 Pile garlic & some coarse salt & black pepper or grill seasoning on top of herbs.
  • Step #5 Finely chop the garlic, herbs, & spices.
  • Step #6 Drizzle the olive oil over the tuna steaks just enough to coat each side.
  • Step #7 Rub herb & garlic mixture into fish, coating pieces evenly on each side.
  • Step #8 Let stand 10 mins.
  • Step #9 Grill tuna steaks 6 mins on each side or 4 mins on each side, if you prefer pink tuna at the center.
  • Step #10 Cook steaks over: high setting on indoor electric grill, 6 inches from hot, medium high heat on outdoor gas grill or, prepared charcoal.
