Step #1 Preheat the oven to 150°C
Trim all the fat off the leg of lamb.
Step #2 Put the lamb into a casserole dish with the red wine, rosemary, peeled tomatoes, onions, spring onions, garlic, tomato juice, thyme, salt & pepper.
Step #3 Cover up & heat in oven for 4 hrs.
Step #4 After 4 hrs add the chick peas & butter beans.
Step #5 Increase the heat to 200°C & cook uncovered for another hr.
