Danish Kringle Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2 c sour cream .
  • 1 c butter .
  • fruit preserves, of your choice .
  • 2 c flour .
  • sugar

Directions
  • Step #1 Cut butter into flour.
  • Step #2 Mix in sour cream & form into a ball.
  • Step #3 Cover up & chill overnight.
  • Step #4 Cut dough into 4 equal parts.
  • Step #5 Roll each part on a floured pastry cloth into a 6x12 inch rectangle.
  • Step #6 Put filling in a 2x12 line down the center of the rectangle.
  • Step #7 Fold outside thirds of the dough over the filling like you are folding a brochure.
  • Step #8 Seal ends & sprinkle with sugar.
  • Step #9 Bake on a dark cookie sheet at 375 for 30 mins or until golden brown.
  • Step #10 You can bake this at a higher temperature for a shorter time if you prefer.
