Tequila Lime Syrup For Fruit Salad Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 lime, juice of .
  • 1 c sugar .
  • 1 bunch fresh mint .
  • 2 c water .
  • 3 tbsps tequila

Directions
  • Step #1 Carefully wash the mint leaves removing any bruised leaves or stems.
  • Step #2 Place sugar, water & mint leaves in a medium saucepan & bring to a boil over med-heat/flame.
  • Step #3 Lower the heat & continue to simmer 15 mins, every once in awhile scraping down sides to make certain all sugar crystals are incorporated.
  • Step #4 Add the tequila & continue to simmer an extra 5 mins.
  • Step #5 Turn off heat & add the juice of one lime.
  • Step #6 Let syrup cool to about room temp.
  • Step #7 Strain out the mint & put in the fridge the syrup until ready to toss with your fruit salad.
