Pepper Steak - A Recipe To Kill, Or Die, For! Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 tsp brown sugar (or honey) .
  • 4 tbsps water .
  • FOR MARINADE .
  • 1 lb round steaks, sliced very thin .
  • 4 tbsps tamari soy sauce .
  • 4 tbsps cornstarch .
  • 2 tbsps red wine .
  • 2 large onions, sliced lengthwise thinly .
  • 1 dash ground ginger .
  • 1 garlic clove, minced .
  • 1/4 tsp pepper (to taste) .
  • 6 tbsps safflower oil (for frying) .
  • 1 tbsp water (for frying) .
  • 4 green peppers, sliced lengthwise thinly

Directions
  • Step #1 Marinate sliced round steak in soy sauce marinade for 1 hr.
  • Step #2 Clean 4 peppers & 2 onions & slice lengthwise.
  • Step #3 Fry peppers, onions & 1/2 tsp salt in 2 TBS safflower oil In a large-ish skillet until tender.
  • Step #4 Remove vegetables.
  • Step #5 Add 4 TBS safflower oil & 1 TBS water to skillet & fry meat quickly.
  • Step #6 Add vegetables & stir with spatula or wooden spoon, getting the good brown stuff off bottom of skillet.
  • Step #7 Serve over cooked rice, on a roll or in a sub sandwich.
  • Step #8 You can double the marinade ingredients if you want more sauce/goop -.
  • Step #9 The wine helps the marinade absorb so well into the meat, yet you can't taste it at all.
