Glazed Onions Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1-2 tsp tamari soy sauce .
  • 1 lb boiling onions (about 1 1/2 - 2 inches in diameter) .
  • 1/2 tsp rosemary .
  • 2 tbsps butter .
  • 2 tsps prepared mustard .
  • 1 tbsp molasses

Directions
  • Step #1 Blanch the peeled onions for 5 mins in boiling salted water.
  • Step #2 Drain them, pat them dry & set aside.
  • Step #3 Melt the butter in a skillet.
  • Step #4 Add the remaining ingredients & stir until smooth.
  • Step #5 Add the onions & saute on low heat, every once in awhile basting the onions with the glaze.
  • Step #6 Turn the onions over at least once.
  • Step #7 After about 10 mins, the glaze will be somewhat reduced & thickened & the onions golden brown.
  • Step #8 Serve as soon as possible.
