Norwegian Rice Cream With Strawberry Sauce Recipe

Ingredients
  • Rice Cream .
  • 4 c milk .
  • 1 c water .
  • Strawberry Sauce .
  • 1 tsp salt .
  • 4 tbsps granulated sugar .
  • 3 c water .
  • 2 c heavy cream .
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice .
  • 1 lb short-grain white rice (not instant) .
  • 2 tsps vanilla extract .
  • 2 c strawberry preserves

Directions
  • Step #1 Rice Cream:.
  • Step #2 Cook rice with water & salt for 15 mins.
  • Step #3 Add milk & cook for 30 mins until rice is tender & of a thick consistency.
  • Step #4 Let cool.
  • Step #5 Whip cream with sugar & vanilla extract.
  • Step #6 Combine the rice & cream.
  • Step #7 Strawberry Sauce:.
  • Step #8 Combine all ingredients in a mixer & mix for one min.
  • Step #9 Fresh strawberries may be added if desired.
  • Step #10 Note: I always use fresh or frozen & I've never tried it with the preserves.
  • Step #11 When using fresh or frozen, you'll need about a lb.
  • Step #12 Slice them as preferred, then place them in a bowl with water, lemon juice & sugar to taste.
  • Step #13 Let it sit for a while, overnight is best.
