Chicken Fried Steakii Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 cube beef bouillon
  • 3/4 tsp celery salt
  • 3 lbs beef chuck steaks, well trimmed
  • 2 1/2 c all-purpose flour, divided
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • 2 1/2 c milk
  • 3 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 c oil for frying
  • 2 tbsps salt
  • 2 tbsps chili powder
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper

Directions
  • Step #1 In a shallow bowl, mix 2 c of the flour, salt & cayenne pepper; set aside.
  • Step #2 In a bowl, beat together eggs & remaining 1/2 c flour.
  • Step #3 Pound steaks flat with a meat mallet.
  • Step #4 Dredge the steaks first in the flour mixture, then into the egg mixture, then back into the flour mixture.
  • Step #5 Heat oil in a large skillet over medium high heat.
  • Step #6 Fry the coated steaks until golden brown.
  • Step #7 Remove from skillet, drain, & keep warm.
  • Step #8 Pour off all but 1 tbsp of the oil, then stir in the the leftover seasoned flour.
  • Step #9 Cook over med-heat/flame, stirring constantly, until the flour is browned.
  • Step #10 Remove from the heat & Stir in milk, celery salt, garlic salt, chili powder & beef bouillon.
  • Step #11 Return to the heat & bring to a simmer, stirring constantly, until gravy thickens.
