Red Pepper, Asparagus, & Shrimp Penne Pasta Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 lb ready to eat peeled & cooked shrimp .
  • 16 oz penne pasta .
  • 2 tbsps garlic powder .
  • 1 (10 1/2 oz) jar classico garlic alfredo sauce .
  • 1 bunch of fresh asparagus spears .
  • 2 (14 1/2 oz) jars Classico sun dried tomato & basil pasta sauce .
  • 2 large red bell peppers

Directions
  • Step #1 Thaw shrimp & set aside.
  • Step #2 Pour all 3 sauce jars into a large pot & stir this together well.
  • Step #3 Heat sauce covered over med-heat/flame stirring frequently until heated thoroughly.
  • Step #4 Reduce heat to low & add shrimp.
  • Step #5 Stir frequently while covered on low.
  • Step #6 Chop both peppers into small bites.
  • Step #7 Place into a well greased skillet & and sprinkle garlic powder over the pieces.
  • Step #8 Cook over medium-high heat until tender & slightly blackened.
  • Step #9 Cut asparagus spears into 3 equal parts & steam them until tender.
  • Step #10 Do not overcook the asparagus; it should be slightly tender, but in NO way mushy.
  • Step #11 Cook pasta according to their directions on the label & drain well.
  • Step #12 Add pasta, asparagus, & peppers to the sauce & shrimp mix.
  • Step #13 Stir well & continue to heat on low for five more mins.
