German Slaw Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 medium onion .
  • 1 pinch celery seeds .
  • 1 medium head of cabbage .
  • 1/2 c sugar .
  • 1/2 c vegetable oil .
  • 1/2 c white vinegar .
  • 1 pinch salt

Directions
  • Step #1 Chop the cabbage & onion & place this In a large-ish bowl.
  • Step #2 In a small pot add the remaining ingredients & stir this together & bring to a boil.
  • Step #3 Let the mixture reduce by 1/2 & then remove this from heat & pour over the cabbage mixture & toss well.
  • Step #4 Let sit for 2 hrs or overnight.
