Caramel-walnut Brownies Recipe

Ingredients
  • 12 vanilla caramels .
  • 1 tsp vanilla .
  • 1 tbsp milk .
  • 1/2 c walnuts, sliced .
  • 2 eggs .
  • 2/3 c all-purpose flour .
  • 1/4 tsp salt .
  • 1/2 c baking cocoa .
  • 1 c sugar .
  • 1/2 c butter, softened .
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat oven to 350.
  • Step #2 Grease 9x9x2 baking pan.
  • Step #3 Mix sugar, vanilla, butter, & eggs.
  • Step #4 In separate bowl mix flour, cocoa, baking powder, & salt.
  • Step #5 Mix wet & dry ingredients until well-incorporated.
  • Step #6 Add walnuts.
  • Step #7 Spread evenly in pan.
  • Step #8 Bake 20 to 25 mins or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  • Step #9 While brownies are in oven, heat caramels & milk over low heat/flame (or in double boiler) & stir until melted & smooth.
  • Step #10 Drizzle caramel over warm brownies.
  • Step #11 Cool completely before cutting into 4 rows by 4 rows.
