Stuffed Foccacia Recipe

Ingredients
  • coarse salt .
  • fresh rosemary .
  • 1 1/2 c spinach, Sauteed .
  • 4 tbsps olive oil .
  • 7 oz mozzarella cheese, Slice .
  • 1 loaf frozen bread dough .
  • 7 oz gorgonzola, Crumbled

Directions
  • Step #1 Thaw dough.
  • Step #2 Preheat the oven to 400F degrees F.
  • Step #3 Divide the dough into two.
  • Step #4 On a floured surface, either pat down or roll this into two 10-11 inch circles.
  • Step #5 Place one circle on an oiled cookie sheet, & then sprinkle the cheese evenly over its surface.
  • Step #6 Spread the spinach across the top, & then cover with the remaining circle.
  • Step #7 Using your fingertips, carefully press the edges together.
  • Step #8 Create dimples across the top surface using your fingertips, & drizzle over with the oil.
  • Step #9 Sprinkle top the salt & rosemary on top.
  • Step #10 Bake for about 30 mins or until golden brown.
  • Step #11 Serve warm.
  • Step #12 Variation: Try stuffing the focaccia with thinly sliced tomatoes & basil leaves, shredded cooked ham & Fontina cheese, or simply a mixture of your favorite Italian cheeses.
