Chocolate Hazelnut Torte Recipe Recipe

Ingredients
  • cocoa powder .
  • 1/2 c butter, melted & cooled slightly .
  • 5 eggs .
  • 2 tbsps unsalted butter, room temperature .
  • 3 (4 oz) packages chocolate fudge pudding mix .
  • powdered sugar .
  • 2 c sliced hazelnuts

Directions
  • Step #1 Preheat the oven to 325F degrees F.
  • Step #2 Coat bottom & bottom inch of sides of a 10-inch spring-form pan with softened butter.
  • Step #3 Layer 1 c sliced hazelnuts on bottom of pan.
  • Step #4 In food processor/blender or mixer, mix remaining 1 c hazelnuts, eggs, pudding mix, & melted butter.
  • Step #5 Process until well-mixed & nuts are ground fine.
  • Step #6 Pour into prepared pan.
  • Step #7 Bake about 20 mins or until edges of torte are firm but center jiggles when pan is shaken.
  • Step #8 Remove from oven & cool 10 mins.
  • Step #9 Release pan sides.
  • Step #10 Cool to lukewarm then transfer to serving plate & dust with cocoa powder & powdered sugar.
  • Step #11 Serve at warm or at about room temp.
