Low-carb Chili ( You Never Know The Difference) Recipe

Ingredients
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional) .
  • 1 lb ground turkey (can use beef if you do not like ground turkey) .
  • 2 lbs ground beef .
  • 1/4 c splenda artificial sweetener (or more to taste) .
  • 1 c chili powder (yes 1 c) .
  • 1 small onion, sliced .
  • 2 (12 oz) cans tomatoes & green chilies .
  • 1/2 green bell pepper, sliced .
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper .
  • 1/4 c olive oil .
  • 1 tsp garlic salt

Directions
  • Step #1 In large pot add olive oil.
  • Step #2 add onion & bell pepper.
  • Step #3 saute for about 2 mins untill onions are translucent.
  • Step #4 add garlic salt.
  • Step #5 add black pepper.
  • Step #6 put all meat in pan & saute untill fully cooked.
  • Step #7 drain 3/4 of oil from pan(leave some in for flavor).
  • Step #8 add both cans of tomatoes with chiles.
  • Step #9 mix.
  • Step #10 add chili powder.
  • Step #11 mix.
  • Step #12 add cayenne pepper.
  • Step #13 add splenda.
  • Step #14 mix well.
  • Step #15 let simmer on low heat for atleast an hr.
